Our client, operating in a rapidly evolving legal landscape, needed to proactively govern the emerging risks of AI adoption to ensure compliance, particularly with the forthcoming EU AI Act.
This presented a critical opportunity to establish a comprehensive and structured AI governance framework before regulation forced the issue.

What we delivered

A framework built to the organisation’s own risk appetite

Custom risk framework implementation. Developed a tailored framework to systematically categorise the client’s AI applications based on their risk level. This framework precisely defined unacceptable risk and prohibited practice, aligning them with the organisation’s risk appetite, with heightened attention paid to sensitive technologies such as biometrics.
AI by Design adoption. We championed the principle of AI by Design, mandating that privacy, ethical and security considerations were embedded directly into the AI system development lifecycle from inception. This ensured responsible practice became a foundational component of all AI solutions, not a post-deployment measure.
AI literacy and training. An ongoing initiative focused on launching comprehensive training and awareness programmes across the organisation, to enhance AI literacy and empower stakeholders to understand their responsibilities — ensuring the successful long-term adoption of the new governance framework.

The client moved beyond reactive measures to a structured, anticipatory governance position.
Privacy and risk management were effectively embedded into the AI development lifecycle rather than applied afterwards.
